Shannon has assisted and advised clients in a variety of commercial and civil disputes. These include contractual and tortious claims as well as shareholder and employment disputes.

Shannon also has a keen interest in data privacy and protection and seeks to provide timely and practical advice to her clients on issues surrounding this aspect of the law.

Work Experience

Successfully acted for a hire purchase vehicle company in its claim against a third party financier for indemnity for costs: Auto Lease (Pte) Ltd v San Hup Bee Motor LLP and others [2023] SGHC 141.

Successfully acted for the landlord against non-rental payment where the tenant relied on provisions in the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020: Na Bon Tiam v Ark Engineering & Offshore Pte Ltd [2024] SGMC 12.

Represented an international educational organisation and its employee in a successful committal application originating from the Protection of Harassment proceedings.

Represented a BVI incorporated entity in its claims against a Singapore incorporated entity for misappropriate of assets and unlawful conspiracy.

Acted for the main contractor in an arbitration pursuant to SIA Arbitration Rules involving invalid extensions of time, overpayment and defective works in a claim of up to S$22million.

Acted against a defendant company and director for fraudulent misrepresentation involving an investment scheme.

Represented and assisted creditors in bankruptcy applications.

Advised on employment and MOM issues relating to unfair dismissal and overstaying of work permits.
